Joining Scentsy is one of the best decisions I have made. Back in July 2008 I had no idea that I would be where I am today. All I knew is that I loved the way Scentsy filled a room with scent.
You see, my husband and I had walked into an farm service agency office that July afternoon and a wonderful scent met us as we walked into the door. It was one of those scents that we looked at each other immediately and said, “We have to find out what that scent is!” Of course, I had no problem asking the ladies what candle they were buring. They informed me that it was no candle – it was Scentsy! What was Scentsy? I had never heard of it before. The lady who had it on her desk invited me back to see it in action. There is was, a simple Scentsy warmer on her desk and the light bulb was warming the Scentsy fragrance Fried Ice Cream. I was immediately hooked.
I left the office with a catalog in hand. I was excited to see all the Scentsy warmers and over 80 Scentsy fragrances that were available. I went home, looked Scentsy up online (isn’t the internet a great information source). The very next day I joined Scentsy to be a consultant and I didn’t even have any Scentsy in my home. 🙂 What was I, a farmer’s wife, living in the most rural area possible, doing starting a home-based business? How was I going to make a business work where I lived? You know, I really didn’t think about those questions. I just knew that Scentsy was something I wanted to have in my home and even if I purchased only for myself, I would be a happy person!
I am happy to tell you that 7 years later, I am still Scentsy strong! I don’t just sell to myself – haven’t since the first week I was a consultant. My customers are all over the United States and yes, I have had customers from Canada and Mexico. My team has grown from just me to team members from all over the world. And there is room for more! I absolutely LOVE to help guide my team members as they start and build their Scentsy business.
Why am I retelling my story? Because I am here to tell you that IT DOESN’T MATTER where you live, what obsticales may be in your path – YOU CAN BE A SCENTSY CONSULTANT! Sure, I have learned that I have to “think out of the box” a little more than someone that lives in a populated area. But, I know that when I put my mind to it and if I continue to work by Scentsy business, it can and will succeed!
