Q. What type of Warranty does Scentsy have on their products?
A. Scentsy has a Lifetime Warranty on all their warmers and oil diffusers! You will need to register your diffuser at http://www.scentsydiffuser.com!
Q. How long will our Candle Bars last?
A. Scentsy Candle bars will last a minimum of 50 - 80 hours. It depends on the strength of the fragrance and how strong you personally like your scents. Open Windows, humidifiers, and house fans may alter the time the scents last.
Q. What are the measurements of the Scentsy warmers?
A. Scentsy warmers vary in height from 3.5” tall (nightlights) to 8.5” tall (fluted shade). I have the specific height for each warmer listed in the description of the warmer. Since there are over 100 warmers now available, it would be too long of a list to put here! J
Q. What kind of Light Bulbs do Scentsy Warmers use?
A. Scentsy warmers use a 20 or 25 watt Bulb, and Scentsy Nightlight warmers use a 15 watt Bulb. These Bulbs can be kind of tough to find in stores, but you can buy these bulbs online at http://www.getascent.com/products/light-bulbs. You can find the correct wattage of bulb for your warmer by simply looking at the label on your warmer (usually on the bottom)! All nightlight warmers do use the 15 watt. All element warmers use a heating element.
A. Yes! All dishes (tops) for current Scentsy Warmers are available to order online or through your consultant. The cost is $8-$12 depending on the dish (top) you are needing. If your Scentsy Warmer is retired, you may still be able to get the dish (top). However, replacement dishes (tops) for retired warmers are only available as supplies last once the warmer is retired.
Q. Can Scentsy wax be used in a Non-Scentsy Warmer?
A. Of course, but I wouldn't recommend it. Scentsy warmers are made specifically for the Scentsy wax, they are designed to reach a perfect temperature, they get just warm enough to release the scent into the air without releasing any of the chemicals with it. This is one reason Scentsy Warmers and Scentsy Bars are much safer then regular Candles.
Q. What kind of wax is used when making our Candle Bars?
A. Scentsy uses a food-grade petroleum based wax. Scentsy chose this wax because of its superior scent loading ability, melting point and firmness. Scentsy looked at other waxes, but could not find a good quality vegetable based wax that held the scents. The type of wax we use is a not an issue, with regard to the chemicals released while burning any traditional wicked candles, including tea lights. Scentsy Warmers only warm the scent out of the wax - the wax remains in the warmer, thus there is no danger of chemicals being released into the home. You will end up with a piece of non smelling wax that you dispose of and replace with a new Scentsy candle bar. No wick, no match, no flame, no soot, no smoke, and no wax evaporation!
Q. What is food grade petroleum wax?
A. Scentsy’s food grade petroleum wax is the same wax they spray on apples in the grocery stores, to give them their shine.
Q. What type of oil does Scentsy use in their candles?
A. Scentsy uses key fragrance oil which is the highest grade of oil before processing.
Q. Do I use a whole candle bar at a time?
A. One Scentsy Bar comes in a clamshell with eight break-a-part cubes. Choose your favorite candle bar scent, break off one or two cubes and place in our warmer. Next turn on your warmer...relax and enjoy. You can add more cubes as time goes on or can switch out to enjoy another scent. I personally prefer to change out the wax completely as I get a better scent throw that way.
Q. How hot does the wax get when warmed?
A. The wax temperature is very low, just above body temperature. The wax never gets hot enough to burn anyone since we use a low watt light bulb or heating element that is designed to heat the wax at a low temperature.
Q. How do I clean the wax out of the warmer?
A. While the wax is warmed you can pour it out into a disposable container, back into its original container, or simply wipe the warmer with some paper towels. You may also place the warmer lid in the freezer for 5-10 minimum and the wax should easily slide out.
Q. What wattage of light bulb does the warmer use?
A. A standard small based (G type) 20 or 25 watt bulb or heating element is used in our Scentsy Warmers. Our Mini-Warmers use a standard 15 watt nightlight bulb. Every new Scentsy warmer (that uses a bulb) comes with its appropriate light bulb.
Q. How does the Scentsy Diffuser work?
A. The Scentsy diffuser is an ultra-sonic nebulizing diffuser with cool mist and has auto shutoff! Simply pour approximately ½ cup of tap water in the diffuser reservoir, add your favorite essential or natural oil (4-6 drops is recommended) to the water, and place the top of the diffuser back on. Press the diffuser button on the front (as you are looking at it from the front it will be the left button). Press the diffuser button one time and it will put the Scentsy diffuser on the high setting and you will get 4 hours of enjoyment. Press it again to put the Scentsy diffuser on low which will give you 8 hours of enjoyment. Press the button once more and it will shut off the unit – while operating, pressing and holding while the diffuser is on will also shut off the unit. When the diffuser is off if you press and hold the diffuser button for a second or two, will put the diffuser into intermittent mode which will also give you 8 hours of enjoyment.
Q. How do I get the lights on the diffuser to change colors?
A. On the front of your diffuser there are two buttons. As you look at it from the front, the light option buttons is on the right. Press the light button once and you will get a clear light on high, press the light button again and you will get a clear light on low, press the light button again and you will get a clear light that flickers like a candle, and pressing the button once more (or just holding down the button for a second or two) will turn the light option off. When the light is off, if you will press and hold the light button for just a second or two, you will put the diffuser into the color light mode – giving you 16 colors! If you would like to have the diffuser stay on a particular color, simply press (click) the light button until you find your favorite – the diffuser will stay at this color until you shut off the light option!
Q. What size of bottles does Scentsy Essential Oils and Natural Oils come in?
A. All Scentsy Essential Oils, Scentsy Essential Oil Blends and 100% Natural Oils are sold in 15ml bottles. Each bottle contains approximately 250 drops of oil.
Q. How much is shipping?
A. Shipping is always free for home, basket and book parties with $200 or more in total retail sales. Direct ship orders to individual customers has a minimum of $8 (up to $80) or 10%. Shipping to Hawaii or Alaska is 10% with a 20% shipping charge for direct ship orders in those states. When you call and order directly from me, minimum shipping is $8 (up to $80) or 10%. If you order reaches $200 of course you will get FREE SHIPPING and hostess rewards!
Q. How long until delivery?
A. Approximately 2 to 3 weeks from when the Scentsy Party closes or an order is placed.
Q. What does it mean to be an Independent Scentsy Consultant?
A. As a Scentsy Independent Consultant, you are an independent business owner authorized to sell Scentsy products for a commission. You have the freedom to control when and where you work your business, and can increase your commission by selling more product or earning residual income from friends and family you’ve recruited to join your team.

Q. How much does it cost to become a Scentsy consultant?
A. You only need to pay the current price of the Starter Kit (plus local tax and shipping) to join Scentsy, and you’ll get a Starter Kit full of valuable business tools and product samples.
Q. What does the Scentsy Starter Kit include?
A. The Starter Kit includes everything you need to start your Scentsy business: a best-selling Scentsy Warmer, more than 80 scented wax testers, Scentsy catalogs, order forms, three months of your own PWS, product samples and more. (Contents may vary.)
Q. What are the requirements for joining Scentsy?
A. You must be the legal age or age of majority in your state of residence at the time of enrollment. You must be a legal resident of the country where you want to enroll and have a valid Personal Identification Number (like a Social Security number or Employee Identification Number). You must also accept the Independent Consultant Agreement (ICA) and purchase the Starter Kit.
Q. How does Scentsy calculate commissions?
A. Consultants earn 20 percent on the first 1,000 points in Personal Retail Volume (PRV) and 25 percent on PRV after that, plus up to a 9 percent bonus on Personal Wholesale Volume based on rank and a 5 percent bonus when sales exceed 2,000 points in PRV in any given month. In addition to the commission you earn on your sales, you can earn multiple bonuses based on your team performance.
Q. What is PRV?
A. Personal Retail Volume (PRV) is the point value of commissionable products you sell. PRV is a global point system convertible to local currency using a price/earnings to growth ratio (PEG rate).
Q. What are the monthly sales requirements for Scentsy Consultants?
A. Scentsy Consultants must generate sales resulting in 200 points or more in PRV in at least one month within any contiguous three-month period. The 200 points in PRV can come from individual customer orders, party orders or online orders made through your Personal Website (PWS).
Q. Do I need to place my orders with a credit or debit card?
A. All payments from Consultants to Scentsy must be made via credit card or debit card; however, you may accept payment from customers in whatever form you choose. Scentsy does not accept cash, money orders or checks. If a customer pays with a check, it must be made out to the Consultant.
Q. Do I have to sponsor other Scentsy Consultants?
A. No. However, Consultants who sponsor new team members are more successful: They earn more PRV and are about 60 percent more likely to stay with Scentsy long term!
Q. What if I have questions or need help?
A. We always recommend starting with your Scentsy sponsor. They’re a valuable resource. The home office provides numerous training opportunities and online tools. Consultant Support is also available Monday through Friday to help you with anything you might need. All of us at Scentsy will be with you every step of the way.
Q. How can I sell Scentsy products?
A. Scentsy is built off the party plan. You can hold in-home parties, basket parties, open houses or online parties, and you may also take orders through your Personal Website.
Q. Is it worth it to Sell Scentsy?

Q. Can I sell online?
A. Yes. Independent Consultants can sell Scentsy products online via their online Scentsy replicated website. All online advertising must first be approved by the home office.
Q. Can I sell on eBay?
A. No. In order to maintain the quality and integrity of Scentsy products, Scentsy Consultants are prohibited from selling on eBay or any other auction type website.
Q. Can I make my own personal website?
A. Yes! Independent Scentsy Consultants can make their own website, however all independent websites must be approved by the home office. You will have access to the Policy and Procedures once you become a Consultant. There are specific details here for you to follow when creating a site.
Q. Can I sell at fairs and events?
A. Yes! Independent Scentsy Consultants are allowed to Sell Scentsy at local events and expos. You can elect to purchase inventory to resale at the events or take orders only. The choice is yours.
Q. Are there any monthly or quarterly sales requirements?
A. The policy to remain an active Consultant you must place at least one $200, or more, order in one month of three. Every time you place a qualifying $200 or more order, the 3 months is reset.
Q. How do I rejoin Scentsy?
A. If you have previously been a Scentsy consultant but were unable to stay active and your account had been deactivated for 3 month s or longer, you can begin again as a Scentsy consultant by simply sending an email to email@example.com to request your account be restored. There is NO CHARGE to restore you account and to begin again!
Q. Are there any requirements to earn commissions on my team?
A. To start earning commissions on your team, you must be at least a Lead Consultant and sell a minimum of $500, per month, in personal retail volume to qualify.
A Lead Consultant is a person who has $500 in monthly personal retail sales, $1000 in Group Wholesale Volume (GWV) in a month and one active frontline Scentsy Consultant. There are different requirements for GWV and active frontline as you grow (Star Consultant, Superstar Consultant, Director, Star Director, Superstar Director) but the personal retail sales stays at $500.
Q. Are we required to pay for any of the Host Rewards?
A. A $5 Host Rewards Fee only applies if the Hostess doesn't take advantage of all 1/2 off items.
Q. How long does it take to get my Scentsy Starter Kit?
A. Scentsy generally ships starter kits within 72 hours of receiving your application. Starter Kits are shipped via UPS.
Q. Is the Consultant Scent of the Month Kit a required purchase?
A. No. We are never required to buy products. Scentsy does offer an “Opt In” Scent of the Month Kit and a Warmer of the Month Kit to its Consultants. These kits are offered at a substantial discount price to help grow your business.
Q. Who do customers write their checks to? Scentsy or the Consultant?
A. Checks need to be made out to the Consultant as we submit party orders online. At home parties, you as the Consultant, may ask the guests to write their checks out to the Hostess, and then the Hostess writes one check out to you the Consultant. For customers paying by check, payment is made using the Consultant's credit card or a debit card after the customer’s checks clear. Scentsy does not charge Consultants to process credit cards, and accepts VISA, MC, AMEX, and Discover.
Q. Can Host carry or save their Host benefits for later use?
A. No. Host must use their 1/2 price and free products earned at the time they submit their party or they will lose their benefits. They do not carry over.
Q. Are Consultants allowed to purchase Scentsy Products at a discount and if so, what is the discount?
A. As a Independent Scentsy Consultant, we pay for our product upfront and then are issued our commission on the 10th of each month. If you are a new Consultant, you would enter the order or party and earn your commission when they process commissions on or before the 10th of each month - you will receive your Pay Card via mail 7-10 days after you enroll.
Q. When are commissions issued?
A. Scentsy post commissions amounts in our work station on or before the tenth of the month. You will receive notification via email once the payment has been made to your pay card.
